Foundation Stage Teacher
Faye was born and raised in South Africa and with a degree in Primary education, she taught in upper primary for some years.
She moved to The Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho where she founded and ran a school for an International company delivering the British curriculum. She moved to Angola to work at a curriculum developer and coordinator in an IB world school in the PYP. It was a new school and she was a founding member.
It was here that she studied for her degree in Early Childhood and became passionate about teaching very young children. She then moved to the UK and taught for a number of years in an Early Years setting where she continued to develop her interest in how young children learn and how best to teach children who learn in English but whose native language is not English. She developed a keen interest in how children learn to read and this spent some time teaching many children to read.
13 years ago she was delighted to move to Cairo Egypt and founded and managed a school in Mohandeseen which become known as the Embassy School as it was the embassy employees’ choice of schools.
Faye is excited to work with FS1 students at BISM. This is enabling her to continue to work with young children in the area she loves most.
