Sara was born and raised all her life in Ontario, Canada with her family. She received her teaching certification from Seneca College majoring in Early Childhood Education in 2012.
Sara started her teaching career in Toronto, Ontario in 2012 and worked for three years and a half before she moved to Cairo, Egypt unexpectedly.
In 2015 when she was on a visit to Egypt, she was offered a job at Cairo English School by surprise. Sara decided to give it a try and ended up working at Cairo English School for four years as a foundation stage teacher.
Sara really enjoys working with the younger group as she says it is a very challenging but rewarding job. She believes that not only do children develop and learn, but so do the educators. She really enjoys making learning fun by turning a lesson into fun activities for the children to spark their interest.
She asks many critical questions to encourage children’s thinking and curiosity. Sara feels most successful when she sees the children progress in their learning and develop their confidence.
She is currently living here in Cairo with her husband. In her free time, Sara enjoys traveling, cooking, watching movies, listening to music and playing sports.
